Handmade Card - Guitar Star

I made this for my daughters birthday, she loves her guitar :-)

I drew a guitar and cut it out from black cardstock, then drew on the strings using a white 'Signo' pen, the gold parts are a Krylon pen. The sentiment is Papertrey 'Game On'. I riveted using my Cropadile, a small silver rivet and added some monochrome herringbone ribbon. The cardstock is Centura Pearl.

She loved it.

Handmade Card - Pacman

For this card I die cut a circle, then cut a triangle and added a 'googly eye'. the dots are some enamel neon dots I got on ebay. The fruit I made in Photoshop then matted them onto black cardstock. I also made a Photoshop banner for the bottom saying 'Chomp, chomp, chomp :-) You can download the fruit from my 'Blog Candy' page :-D

Handmade Card - Happy Birthday Ladybird

Happy Birthday Ladybird

I used Conqueror 300 gsm paper with a Zander Zeta 100 gsm Lining for the card base (6" x 6"). To create the ladybird, I cut 2 circles of the same size (approx. 6cm) and drew black dots in a diagonal pattern onto both sides. Copic Ciao pens were used for the grass, sweeping them upwards from the base (I used 2 shades of green). The clouds were made by die cutting a cloud shape, using Joy Cloud Dies. I then took the outline and using a sponge, lightly brushed it upwards with Pan Pastels. This left a cloud outline, which I repeated, randomly across the top. The sentiment is 'Verve' - 'Happy Birthday', which was embossed with Black, 'WOW' embossing powder. Finished with a black & white spotty ribbon.

Handmade Card - "Love You Because..."

I created the sentiments in Photoshop, using different font types and printed onto white cardstock, cut them out with JOY Cloud Dies. The hearts are a small heart punch from Woodware, which were glossed using 'Glossy Accents'. The arrows were cut out from stamps by Uniko. I matted some blue spotty paper from 'Samuel Taylors', onto black cardstock and set it at an angle.

Handmade Card - 'Wanna Meth Around'

Inspired by me watching the 'Breaking Bad' series on Netflix. I spent an entire weekend just glued to the TV :-) It was a fab series, really engaging. So I thought I would make a card based on that and a loose play on words, for any fan of the show.
Matted onto aqua cardstock is a test tube full of aqua glass chips, with a few loosely sprinkled around. The sentiment was created in Photoshop and is available to download from my 'Blog Candy' Page.

Handmade Card - Ahoy - You Keep Me Anchored

Using silver rivets and my Cropadile, I made a strip of blue card, with evenly spaced rivets. I was really just playing around with the Cropadile, as i haven't used it since buying it. After making the strip, I thought it looked somewhat nautical and wanted to make a card using it. I cut some red & white circles and made a 'lifebelt'. Then added a metal anchor charm, some twine and matted it onto black cardstock. The sentiment was created in Photoshop and is available to download from my 'Blog Candy' Page.

Handmade Card - Special Agent / Sheriff - Childs Birthday Invitation

Handmade Card - Special Agent / Sheriff

I matted a silver backed invite, created in photoshop, onto navy card. Put a navy ribbon around and added a metal, 'Sheriff' Badge. I thought it would make a cool invitation for a boys party. Especially considering it uses words like: Agents / Security and Secret Mission :-)

Handmade Card - 'Everything Grows With Love'

I used JOY Cloud Dies to make the tree shape and drew (using brown Copic markers) trunk shapes underneath. Added a bit of 'Hemptiques' grey twine and added a punched out small heart, which I had coated with 'Glossy Accents'. The sentiment was created in Photoshop and is available to download from my 'Blog Candy' Page.

Handmade Card - 'It Sucks To Get Old'

I punched out a selection of 1" circles in various colours. Then, overlapping them, stuck them onto a larger 1 and 1/2" circle. Finishing of with a purple half pearl in the centre. The 'stick' was made from a wooden skewer with white paper glued around it. A small bow finished that off and random sequins from 'PrettyPinkPosh'. This was matted onto a white then silver backing.
